The Harriman Police Dept. says that the body of a woman was found Sunday morning along a stretch of train tracks. Officers arrived at the scene on Webster Rd. along Highway 27 just before 1 PM. A preliminary investigation has shown that the white female was struck and killed by a passing train. The investigation is said to be ongoing and that police are withholding the identity of the victim until next-of-kin are notified.
