SRO REPORT FOR CUMBERLAND CO. SCHOOLS RELEASED

The annual student resource officer report for the 2018-2019 school year will be reviewed by the Cumberland County Board of Education at their meeting this Thursday night (July 25, 2019). According to the report, SRO officers responded to a total of 94 incidents in schools across the county involving 78 arrests or citations issued. Fifty-four disorderly conduct issues and 57 violence related incidents were noted in the report. That also includes nine incidents involved weapons, seven theft related and one involving alcohol. The SRO’s in Cumberland County noted 1,688 consultation sessions in last year’s school term (this was a wide range of consultation topics). That was broke down to 1,254 for students, 332 for parents and 102 for faculty.
