TDOT crews will use a flagging operation to set out portable concrete barrier rail on Highway 70 just east of Crab Orchard near Godsey Road beginning tomorrow (Thursday, August 1, 2019) from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. central. Temporary road closures will be needed to facilitate this work. The contractor plans to complete the barrier rail installation in one day, but if unable to do so they will finish the next day. This work is weather dependent. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and should prepare to expect long delays when traveling through the work zone. Once all barrier rail has been installed, this area will be reduced to one lane and controlled by a temporary traffic signal for the duration of the project. The estimated completion date is November 2019.
