TWO ARRESTED IN CROSSVILLE FOR CRUELTY TO A PUPPY

Two are facing a charge of animal cruelty following an incident Monday in Crossville. Police were dispatched to the Economy Inn for a puppy locked in a vehicle for hours with no shade. Police noted it had very shallow breathing and had a hard time keeping its eyes open. An injury was also observed to the foot of the puppy, apparently caused by one of two spring loaded traps inside the car. There was also no food or water left in the vehicle for the puppy. Officers arrested 21-year-old William Keith Hayes and 21-year-old Jaide A. Janow and charged them both with animal cruelty.
