A Morgan County Grand Jury indicted 68-year-old Dale D. Lavender of Wartburg for child rape. Court documents state Lavender sexually attacked a 5-year-old female. When the child’s mother asked her how many times this had happened, the 5-year-old told her “a lot”. Lavender was administered a polygraph regarding the incident, which he reportedly failed. He was transported to the Morgan County jail and initially placed under $50,000 bond.
