TDOT continues to perform work on I-40 westbound in Roane County between mile marker 340 and 347. Mark Nagi with TDOT told 105.7 News that resurfacing of that area should be complete within the next two weeks. Also, GeoTechnical engineers are doing exploratory drilling to mitigate several potential slide areas.  This work is on a 10 days on, 4 days off schedule and should be done by the middle of November. Motorist are asked to use caution in this area westbound on Rockwood Mountain.
