The continuing case against former Cumberland County Solid Waste Director Mike Harvel was heard in criminal court yesterday. Harvel was indicted by a grand jury early last year for sexual battery, assault and official misconduct. Court papers indicate that Harvel allegedly caused physical contact to a female resulting in the assault charge. In court yesterday, the judge set a return court date of January 22, 2020 to see if there is any resolution in the case between prosecutors and the defense attorney.
