Cumberland County deputies responded Saturday afternoon to a home on the 1700 block of Pomona Road to an assault. Officers encountered a 45-year-old victim with a laceration to his face and multiple abrasions to his hands and forearm after being allegedly attack by a man with a wrench. Deputies say the suspect, 30-year-old Shannon McVay Gossett of Crossville, fled the scene prior to their arrival. A warrant was taken out for Gossett for aggravated assault.
