Cumberland Crackdown will go into effect starting at noon today and expiring just after midnight tonight (Tuesday, December 31, 2019). It is a combined effort of local, area and state law enforcement in the Upper Cumberland and surrounding area to target drunk and aggressive drivers. Officers will take part in saturation patrols and checkpoints all across the listening area. If you must be on the roadways this evening or any day of the year, always use your seat belt, don’t speed, never use a handheld cellphone while driving and don’t drink or use drugs and drive.
