FLOOD WATCH ISSUED FOR NEARLY THE ENTIRE COVERAGE AREA

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a FLOOD WATCH for the following counties in the coverage area:
BLEDSOE, BLOUNT, CUMBERLAND, FENTRESS, KNOX, LOUDON, MCMINN, MEIGS, MORGAN, OVERTON, PUTNAM, RHEA, ROANE, WHITE
The following counties are not in the watch area at this time:
Pickett County in Tennessee and Wayne and Clinton County in Kentucky
The watch is scheduled to expire at noon central tomorrow (Tuesday, February 11, 2020). This watch could be extended.
Between now and Thursday, rainfall amounts of 4 to 6 inches with higher totals can be expected. From the heavy rains last week, this will easily set up a second round of flooding in our area. In addition, severe weather is now expected in the coverage area Wednesday (February 12, 2020)
Localized flooding is likely, and fast-rising creeks and streams may overflow their banks.
