MAN FACES MORE DRUG CHARGES AFTER BEING STOPPED WITHIN 8 DAYS OF FIRST CHARGE

A Crossville man received multiple drug charges after being stopped in two separate traffic stops within 8 days. According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Dept,  a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle on Lantana Road for a window tint violation. Narcotics and several baggies of a crystal-like substance which tested positive to be meth was confiscated in a consent search. 50-year-old Ronald Floyd was arrested and charged with manufacture, delivery, sale of a controlled substance. On February 20, a Deputy observed a Dodge Charger on Mayland Loop. The vehicle matched the description of a stolen vehicle and a traffic stop yielded the fact that Ronald Floyd Was again behind the wheel. He surrendered a plastic bag with marijuana and several baggies containing a total of 32 grams of meth. A 2006 Dodge Charger was seized along with $1,060.00 in cash. Floyd was again cited for manufacturing an illegal substance along with possession of a Schedule 4 drug. He awaits an April 10, court date with additional bonds of $44,000.00.
