The National Weather Service has issued a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for a earth damn break for southeastern Putnam County and northwestern Cumberland County from 6 p.m. today (Friday, April 3, 2020) until 11:45 p.m. central tonight.

This earth dam is located near Lakeside Deli close to Perdue Farms in Monterey. Flooding of areas downstream are expected near Verble Hollow to Perdue Farms.

Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency says the warning for the portion of Cumberland County was done as a precaution and there should not be a threat of flooding in the northwest sector of Cumberland County.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
