A Cumberland County deputy escaped injury following a single vehicle accident overnight. Sheriff Casey Cox told 105.7 News Deputy Jorgensen was in a patrol cruiser in route to assist with an emergency medical call when she ran off the road on Highway 68 near Pugh Road. Minor damage was noted to the cruiser and Deputy Jorgensen was not hurt. The accident took place around the time severe weather pushed through the county. A report of the accident will be released soon by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
