MAN BEING PURSUED BY RHEA COUNTY DEPUTIES WRECKS IN ROANE COUNTY
A man who was being pursued by Rhea County authorities wrecked his vehicle in Roane County Friday. The accident happened near the West Roane County Volunteer Fire Station on Pumphouse Road. Roane Deputies were notified that Rhea County was attempting to stop a vehicle traveling on Highway 27 North. Originally, spike strips were going to be deployed to stop the vehicle but the driver, one of two occupants not identified, wrecked. Both were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. No further information was furnished.
