FAIRFIELD GLADE POLICE RELEASES REPORT OF CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENT

The Fairfield Glade Police Department released a preliminary report late yesterday regarding a construction accident Tuesday morning.
At 10:15 a.m., the department started to receive calls of damage to St. Francis of Assisi Church. The callers reported damage to the building as well as vehicles in the parking lot from a track drill on Peavine Road that backed up and pulled down power lines. The driver of the track drill, Andy Fisher with Advanced Drilling, told officers he did not see the power lines.
Damage was noted to six vehicles, ranging from minor to extensive, and two buildings at the church at 7503 Peavine Road.
Power was knocked out to over 100 Volunteer Energy Cooperative customers for a few hours.
No injuries were reported.
