POLICE: KERLEY ARRESTED AFTER RUNNING OVER WOMAN WITH VEHICLE IN CROSSVILLE

A Crossville man was arrested Friday afternoon after reportedly running over a woman in a vehicle in the parking lot of Dollar General Market on Miller Bypass. Police say a 2007 Dodge Charger driven by 38-year-old Kenneth Dale Kerley of Crossville was parked in a spot when a passenger, 40-year-old Kelly J. Sanders, got out. Kerley then backed up and struck Sanders causing injuries to her lower body. Sanders was taken to the hospital for treatment. Kerley was charged with reckless endangerment and driving on a revoked license. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance August 31, 2020. As of this morning (Monday, August 17, 2020), Kerley was still incarcerated in the Cumberland County jail under a total of $8,500 bond.
