A Cumberland County citizen fell victim to a phone scam. The report states the caller claimed to be with Public Service Loan Forgiveness and told the female in her 50’s she qualified for the program. She was instructed to fill out an application online and send in copies of her recent W2’s and two pay stubs. The victim faxed the items to them along with giving her debit card number. She lost $1,000 in the process. Law enforcement reminds citizens to never give out personal information of this nature to callers.
