Troopers continue to investigate a fatal two-vehicle accident yesterday near the intersection of Poplar Creek Road and Blair Road in Roane County. A female died in the crash. Her identity has not been released as of 4 p.m. eastern today (Thursday, August 20, 2020)

Officers arrested the other driver involved, 30-year-old James Christopher Hamock of the Harriman area. He was charged with causing an accident resulting in injury or death, evading arrest and driving on a revoked license. Hamock was released from jail on bond early this morning.

A full accident report is expected soon by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
