HIGHWAY PATROL RESPONDS TO MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY; SEVERAL INJURED
A multi-vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County yesterday at the 324 mile marker resulted in numerous injuries. A summary of the crash is below the list of drivers and passengers involved (6 vehicles with 8 injuries):

Troopers says all injuries were considered non-life threatening.
Here is the account of the accident by the Tennessee Highway Patrol:
All vehicles involved were traveling east on I-40 in the left lane and approaching a bridge construction site. Vehicle #4, vehicle #5 and vehicle #6 were stopped in the left lane because of a traffic back up. Vehicle # 2 and vehicle #3 were slowing behind the other vehicles. Vehicle #1 was unable to stop and struck vehicle #2 in the rear end. Vehicle #2 was pushed into and struck vehicle #3. Vehicle #3 was pushed into vehicle #4. Vehicle #4 was pushed into vehicle #5. Vehicle #5 was pushed into vehicle #6.
