The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department released the names this morning of those involved in a shooting late yesterday at a home on the 4300 block of Glade Creek Road. Authorities arrived to find 39-year-old William Kirby, Jr. with a gunshot wound to the leg. Kirby was flown by Lifeforce to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment. He is expected to recover. Law enforcement questioned the suspected shooter, 60-year-old John Johnson, Sr. The incident remains under investigation to piece together the circumstances leading up to the shot fired.
