The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 127 North at Bowman Bend this morning. Trooper Justin Mote says a 2015 Kia driven by 31-year-old Kozzi Cole of Crossville crossed over the highway and was hit by an oncoming 2006 Saab operated by 22-year-old Lydia Bontrager of Monterey. A passenger in the Kia, 29-year-old Kayla Harper of Crossville, along with Bontrager sustained injuries. Cole was cited for failure to yield. Two other passengers in Cole’s car were not hurt.
