A two vehicle accident late yesterday claimed the life of a Fentress County man.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2002 Chevrolet driven by Daniel L. Moore of Crossville was traveling westbound on Highway 62 inside of Fentress County near the Fentress/Putnam County line when his vehicle crossed over the center lane. Moore struck an incoming 2016 Nissan driven by 70-year-old Charles E. Evans of Grimsley head on. Moore was injured and Evans passed away at the scene. Troopers say restraints were used at the time of impact. No citations were issued in the accident.
