While serving a warrant on a female subject at a home on Deep Draw Road just after midnight yesterday, Cumberland County deputies encountered 64-year-old John Richard McCart of Crossville. The report states McCart opened the blinds to a window, made eye contact with the officers then un-holster a handgun. Law enforcement ordered him to drop the weapon which he initially did not comply. A brief standoff took place leading up to McCart pointing the gun toward one deputy, lowered it and put it down. McCart surrendered and was arrested for felony aggravated assault.
