Putnam County deputies and Monterey police responded this afternoon to a call at 2730 Old Walton Road, a county owned waste management facility, regarding a shooting incident. Authorities say 59-year-old Jimmy Doc Gibson was found deceased.

A person of interest has been questioned regarding the shooting incident.”

Tennessee Highway Patrol Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) is also assisting with the investigation.
