Cumberland County deputies responded to a business on Highway 127 North yesterday for a stolen vehicle. The employee told officers he purchased the 2006 Mitsubishi Galant from an individual from Cookeville for $100 to scrap it. They not only held off on that process to make sure it was not taken illegally but made a copy for law enforcement of the driver’s license of the suspect who brought the car there. The incident remains under investigation.
