In a special called session yesterday, the Crossville City Council discussed 24 acres of property near Genesis Road and Iris Lane for a proposed indoor recreational facility. Members unanimously approved to get the land appraised before a bidding process takes place. The council also gave their permission for the application of a Shuttered Venue Operations Grant. If accepted, it would help recoup money spent on city employee overtime and loss of revenue at the Palace Theatre during the pandemic.
