If you looked up into the sky this morning in parts of Cumberland and Roane County and saw a shark…you were right!

It in fact was a blimp made to look like the oceanic predator to promote “Shark Week” on The Discovery Channel.

It was traveling from Nashville along I-40 heading to Knoxville today.

The blimp measures at 128 feet long and 44 feet high and is painted as a great white shark along with logos. The flight was to get fans excited for “Shark Week,” which began this month on Discovery and Discovery+ earlier.
