WOMAN RUNS FROM COPS AT PARADE IN DOWNTOWN CROSSVILLE
On November 5, officers were at the Veteran’s Day parade in Crossville when they noticed a female walking down Main Street who they knew to have an active warrant. Officers attempted to make contact with the female, identified as Martha Paxton, at the corner of Main Street and Livingston Ave. According to the police report, Ms. Paxton started to run away from the officer after he ordered her to stop. A couple of bystanders noticed that the officer was chasing the female and drove their golf cart up beside her. The passenger of the golf cart got out and tackled Ms. Paxton to the ground where the officers were able to place her into custody.
Ms. Paxton was written a warrant for Evading Arrest along with her current warrant for Violation of Probation.
