A man lost his life on Halloween in Cumberland County.

The report released today from the sheriff’s office states that 73-year-old Richard D. Stansbury fell from a ladder at a residence on Pineridge Loop in Fairfield Glade.

Officers noted a cordless sawzall on the roof close to a chimney.

Investigators agreed the death was accidental, likely caused by the fall from the ladder.
