Several Crossville police officers were seen around 11 a.m. today on North Main Street nearly in front of Aaron’s with guns drawn on a suspect.

Initial reports indicate the male was driving a security company van. The driver got out of the vehicle, got down on his knees on Main Street, and surrendered with his hands raised in the air.

Traffic was backed up in the northbound lanes of North Main Street at the scene during the incident.

3B Media News has learned the suspect is 29-year-old Jessie Karl Allen of Knoxville. He was wanted for aggravated assault in an incident that happened in Cumberland County.

A full report regarding the circumstances of the arrest will be released later from the Crossville Police Department.
