(Breaking news as of 10:15 a.m. central, Wednesday, November 15, 2023) – A wildfire has been reported on Renegade Mountain in Cumberland County near Crab Orchard.

Officials say it is off of Moytoy Road on the north side of the mountain.

The Cumberland County Fire Department is on the scene battling the blaze.

Authorities say there are multiple structures involved.

Officials will release more information later.

Crab Orchard City Hall and Crab Orchard Christian Church are set up as temporary shelters for Renegade Mountain residents.

Non-residents of Renegade Mountain are asked to avoid the area as numerous emergency vehicles are responding to the scene.
