SIMS AND KEEFER ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGE IN CROSSVILLE

While on patrol Friday, a Crossville police officer observed a driver pulling out of a known drug house. The arrest report states the driver, 29-year-old Blake Edward Sims of Crossville, traveled onto Castleman Lane and turned onto East First Street.

Sims was pulled over a short time later after allegedly driving at slow speeds, running a stop sign, and crossing over a double yellow line on the road.

A check of Sims showed he was driving on a suspended license.

A search of Sims allegedly revealed a capped syringe and meth.

A passenger in the vehicle was identified as 52-year-old Paula Renee Keefer of Corryton, Tennessee.

Police say Keefer attempted to swallow a small plastic bag containing meth.

A probable cause search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a small amount of meth.

Sims was arrested for simple possession of meth, driving on a suspended license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Keefer was charged with felony possession of meth and two counts of tampering with evidence.
