BB GUN USED IN ROAD RAGE INCIDENT IN CROSSVILLE RESULTS IN ARREST

Crossville police responded Tuesday to a road rage incident that started on Lantana Road.
The report states the victim told officers he was driving with two adults and a child passenger when he came upon a motorist driving slowly backing up traffic. He honked the horn and the suspect, 50-year-old Donna Lynn Huffman, moved over.
As he was passing her vehicle, Huffman allegedly grabbed a black firearm and began waving it around in the car then pointed it at him. The victim sped up in an attempt to get away from Huffman.
A lookout was posted for the suspects’ vehicle. It was located later in the Homestead Place subdivision. Huffman left the scene and was located at a bank in Crossville.
Huffman claimed the victim followed her too closely and when they were beside her passing, they “flipped her the bird”. That is when Huffman told officers she grabbed the firearm, which turned out to be an SNR 357 BB gun, and displayed it to the victim. Huffman said she did it to scare them so they would leave her alone and stop driving recklessly.
Huffman was arrested for aggravated assault.
Aggravated assault in Tennessee occurs when a person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causes or attempts to cause serious physical injury to another.
