REWARD RISES FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO ARREST FOR BALD EAGLE SHOOTING IN ROANE COUNTY

The reward for information leading to the arrest in connection to a bald eagle shooting in Roane County has significantly risen.

After the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service initially offered $2,500, the Center for Biological Diversity announced they added $7,500, making the total reward $10,000.

State and federal officials are investigating the illegal shooting of the bald eagle on Watts Bar Lake near Blue Springs Marina in Ten Mile.

The eagle is recovering from the gunshot.
