SENTENCING DATE SET FOR CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN CONVICTED OF CHILD RAPE

A new sentencing date of March 4, 2024, is scheduled for a Cumberland County man convicted of rape of a child.
Court officials say 62-year-old Jimmy Harold Clark was found guilty last month of the offense by a jury.
Rape of a child in Tennessee carries a minimum of 25 years to 40 years, to serve at 100 percent.
The victim was 11 years old at the time of the incident.
Clark was set to be sentenced on January 10, 2024, but was delayed.
