CROSSVILLE RESIDENTS THREATENED BY MEN LOOKING FOR POSSIBLE THIEF

On Saturday, around 8 p.m., Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the Sawmill Road area in response to a burglary.
Deputy Stephanie Pencka made contact with the caller who informed dispatch of a black GMC truck with three men inside that pulled into his driveway.
The men got out, one carrying a metal pipe, and approached the homeowner and asked about there whereabouts of a person who had been at the residence earlier that evening. The men claimed the visitor had stolen a backpack from them that allegedly contained money.
The caller identified two of the three men as Robert Presley and Donnie “DJ” Rector, whose identities were confirmed with photos provided by Dispatch.
The men got back into their trucks and left but returned shortly, this time getting out of their truck and running toward the back of the house. One of the residents said one of the men, an unknown male, pointed a black revolver at him and demanded to enter the house.
The men went to the back door and began searching, and eventually left when they didn’t find who they were looking for.
Deputy Aytes later found the black GMC matching the description at an address on Coleman Street in Crossville, there was also a red Ford F150 registered to Robert Presley at the same address. No contact was made with anyone at the address.
One of the residents at the burglarized home said later over the phone he had remembered one of the suspects making a
statement about a fourth person with the nickname “Maldo”. The resident said the nickname belongs to a man named Brian Maldonado, who was also charged.
Three suspects, Brian Joseph Maldonado, Robert Eugene Presley, and Donnie James Rector have all been charged with Aggravated Burglary. No contact was made with any of the suspects at the time of Deputy Pencka’s report.
