CROSSVILLE FIRE RESCUE RESPONDS TO RUBY TUESDAY’S KITCHEN FIRE

Crossville Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire this morning a little before 5am at Ruby Tuesday’s on North Main Street. Crossville Police Department Lieutenant Jared South was on routine patrol an Hwy 127 North when he saw smoke coming from the roof of the restaurant. Lt. South requested Crossville Fire units and additional resources. Fire crews arrived few minutes later to find a kitchen fire in the restaurant. Sargent John Karlsven with CPD was able to gain entry without further damage while crews prepared for fire attack. Firefighters found a grease and rag fire in the kitchen under the hood system and quickly extinguished the blaze. Damage is estimated at $6,000. Ruby Tuesday’s will be closed for cleaning and maintenance until further notice. Chief South would like to give a big thank you to Crossville Police Department personnel for a job well done. Quick actions of fire and police personnel is attributed to saving the business from a potential major loss.
