CUMBERLAND COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO TANSI FIRE; NO ONE INJURED

On Wednesday, the Cumberland County Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Broken Arrow area of Tansi around 2:47 a.m. The fire was caused by a chimney flue, as the owner was using the stove when the fire occurred.
The Cumberland County Fire Chief Trevor Kerley said the fire had gone all the way through the roof by the time firefighters arrived.
By the time the fire was extinguished, one room in the home had been destroyed, and the home had seen a lot of smoke damage, but no one was injured. The fire took 2 hours and around 1000 gallons of water to put out.
