ROANE COUNTY SEES STRONG EARLY VOTER TURNOUT

BBBTV12 – Early voting across Tennessee has entered its second week, with a strong turnout from voters, as anticipated. The state is on track to set a record for early voting participation in recent years. As of Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Roane County Election Commission reported that 12,093 voters have already cast their ballots.

Voters in Roane County have experienced occasional lines at polling locations, but wait times have generally been around 10 to 15 minutes.

Early voting in Roane County is taking place at the Harriman, Rockwood, and Kingston Community Centers. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tennessee voters are reminded to bring a valid photo ID to the polls. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license or photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, Tennessee state government, or the federal government, even if expired. Student IDs and out-of-state driver’s licenses are not accepted.
