On Sunday, a 2016 Ford F150 driven by Keith David Ripley, a 2014 Ford Explorer driven by Kelly Lee Harris, a 2019 Jeep Wrangler driven by Matthew Thomas Burhans, a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek driven by Kristen E. Cress, a 2014 Kia Sorento driven by Coby G. Roberts, and a 2021 Honda Accord driven by Caleb N. Moore were traveling west.

Ripley’s F150 hit his brakes to avoid striking another vehicle when Harris’s Explorer struck Ripley’s truck in the rear end. Burhan’s Wrangler was able to come to a controlled stop near the guard rail behind Harris when Cress’s Crosstek Burhan in the rear with its front.

Cress would be struck in the rear by Roberts’s Sorento with its front only to get struck in the rear by Moore’s Accord with its front.

All vehicles remained in the left lane for final rest.

In total, nine people were involved in the incident, with only one injury that being Harris’s passenger, Hallee Necole Houser.
