Hunters in DeKalb County discovered the body of 32-year-old Brittany Miller over the weekend. Miller was reported missing in July of 2022 after leaving her home on Hurricane Ridge Road, only to be found roughly 1 mi from her home near Highway 70.

According to DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray, multiple search warrants, subpoenas, interviews, and a full day of controlled ground and air coverage involving multiple agencies, K-9 units, and search and rescue volunteers were employed in the search to find her hopefully alive. The discovery of her body has now prompted a death investigation.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will now be taking on the case.
