We now know who was killed in the fatal shooting incident late Monday night in Oliver Springs. Police Chief David Lazton confirmed Thursday evening that 34-year-old Christopher Bunch died after being shot by a member of the family, following what he called a domestic situation at the home.

Oliver Springs Police Department Detectives and Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are continuing their investigation.

Bunch was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds, and he according to the preliminary report, was later pronounced deceased at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. At this time, it appears the person who shot the victim, acted in self-defense.

However, they are awaiting the results of the autopsy to make final determinations.
