On April 7, 2025, Deputy Shane Henderson of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Claysville Road to assist Probation and Parole. Upon arrival, he met with Samantha from Probation and Parole, who informed him they were searching for Joseph Kirby, a sex offender who had violated registration laws and was wearing an ankle monitor. Samantha provided Kirby’s location on Claysville Road.

Deputy Henderson accompanied them to the address, where he found Kirby exiting the residence. A check with dispatch confirmed Kirby had two active warrants for Violation of Probation and Violation of the Sex Offender Registry. Deputy Henderson arrested Kirby and transported him to the Cumberland County Jail, where he served Kirby his outstanding warrants.
