George W. Gunnels, age 87, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He is survived by his daughter: Sandra Hamby; sons: Junior and Jody Gunnels; sister: Lucille Huckaby; brother: Tom Gunnels; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, May 26, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright with the funeral to follow at 4 p.m. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Sunbright.
