TEEN ARRESTED FOR UNDERAGE DUI ON WEST AVENUE

On May 1, 2025, at approximately 1:01 AM, Cumberland County Deputy Caleb Charles observed Jacob Dale Moles, an 18-year-old white male, driving a silver Ford Mustang at 55 mph in a 35 mph zone on West Avenue. After initiating a traffic stop, Moles made erratic maneuvers in a parking lot, striking a pallet and stalling his vehicle.
Deputy Charles detected a strong odor of alcohol, glossy eyes, and nervous behavior from Moles, who admitted to consuming 4-5 shots of Bacardi and rated his impairment as 5 or 6 out of 10. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests confirmed impairment, showing issues with eye movement, balance, and coordination.
Moles was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) without incident, charged with underage DUI, and transported to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Two vials of whole blood were collected as evidence.
