WILLIAMS INDICTED BY ROANE COUNTY GRAND JURY

The Roane County Grand Jury in Kingston has indicted Stevie Bernard Williams of Rockwall, Texas, on one count of leaving the scene of an accident knowing death resulted. This stems from an incident on October 13, 2024, when Lateshia Patillo, 40, was found seriously injured along I-40 near mile marker 341 eastbound in Roane County, Tennessee, just after 8 p.m.
She was taken to UT Medical Center but later died from multiple blunt force injuries, as determined by an autopsy. An affidavit stated Patillo had been given a ride by Williams from Arkansas earlier that day.
The Grand Jury was presented with five additional charges against Williams but did not indict him on those.
Previously, Williams faced charges of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and criminally negligent homicide.
