MORE INFO ON FATAL LAWNVILLE ROAD ACCIDENT
On June 22, 2025, at approximately 3:59 PM, a fatal crash occurred at 1452 Lawnville Road in Roane County, outside city limits. Tennessee State Trooper Scarbrough investigated the incident, recorded under District Case Number 125048061. The crash involved one vehicle, a Nissan Frontier driven by Tommy Clayborne (male, no injury, seat belt used, both alcohol and drug tests requested). The vehicle was towing a trailer and was not a commercial vehicle.
The passenger, Daniel Clayborne (male, pedestrian), exited the vehicle during a verbal argument with the driver. As the driver accelerated to make a right turn onto Lawnville Road from Ladd Landing Way, the trailer struck Daniel Clayborne, resulting in his death. No seat belt or helmet was used by the pedestrian, and both alcohol and drug tests were requested. The Medical Examiner was notified, and next of kin notifications were made. No other injuries were reported.
