ROCKWOOD POLICE RESPOND TO BOMB THREAT

On July 28, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Rockwood Police and Fire Department officials responded to a report of a possible explosive device at a rental property on the west end of Baldwin Street, where it connects with Clymersville Road. According to Rockwood Police Chief Kelly Pittman, officers found no explosive device upon entering the home.
The incident is believed to stem from an ongoing dispute between the property owner and the tenant, with the report possibly made to prevent the tenant’s access. After approximately 25 minutes on the scene, fire department personnel returned to their station, and the matter was handed over to the police department for further investigation.
