ONE INJURED IN SATURDAY HIGHWAY 127 NORTH CRASH

On August 9, 2025, a collision occurred on US 127N in Cumberland County involving two vehicles. Judy Schmenk, a 58-year-old from Kentucky, was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry southbound when it crossed the center line and collided with the left rear of a northbound 2015 Ford F150 driven by Richard Rogers, a 70-year-old from Georgia.
Schmenk’s passenger, 85-year-old Billie Shelton from Kentucky, was injured, while Schmenk was not. Both were wearing seat belts. Rogers and his passenger, 58-year-old Cynthia Rogers from Georgia, were uninjured; Rogers wore a seat belt, but Cynthia did not. The Camry sustained disabling damage, and the F150 overturned, also with disabling damage. Both vehicles remained at the scene.
No charges have been filed pending the investigation’s outcome.
