SENATOR KEN YAGER ENTERS NO CONTEST PLEA TO DUI CHARGE

State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) entered a no contest plea to a misdemeanor DUI Less Safe charge in Glynn County, Georgia, following an incident on December 3, 2024. As part of the plea agreement, additional charges of Hit and Run, Failure to Stop, and Failure to Yield were dismissed. Yager completed 40 hours of community service and attended DUI school.
In a statement, he acknowledged the seriousness of drinking and driving, expressing deep regret for failing to uphold his principles of integrity and accountability. He apologized to his family, friends, and constituents, vowing that such an incident would not happen again. Yager also expressed gratitude for the forgiveness and support from his community and reaffirmed his commitment to serving Tennessee while living in accordance with his values.

“Today, I accepted responsibility for my actions on December 3rd by entering a no contest plea to a misdemeanor charge of Driving Under the Influence Less Safe. Drinking and driving is a serious matter, and it will never happen again.
Throughout my life, I have strived to act with integrity and accountability. On that day, I failed to uphold those principles and let down my family, friends, and constituents. I deeply regret my actions and sincerely apologize.
